Two Cases of Subaxial Cervical Facet Dislocation Undergoing Open Reduction through an Anterior Approach Followed by Combined Anterior-Posterior Fusion

Introduction : Closed reduction is widely accepted as the initial management of subaxial facet dislocation. However, there a substantial risk neurological deterioration due to herniated discs or fractured vertebral bodies during procedure. Recently, it has been reported that open and fixation via an anterior approach for dislocation had good outcomes. some cases with locked facets were difficult reduce successfully through approach. To date, no established treatment strategy dislocations. We present two treated using combination distraction spreader manual traction Sugita head frame approach, followed by combined anterior-posterior fixation.
